Good news!
DepEd-International Cooperation Office announced Free International Webinar for Teachers.

Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is the response of UNESCO to the threats to international peace and sustainability and challenges that are currently present in the world such as increased interconnectedness, violations of human rights, inequality, and poverty. GCED works by empowering learners of all ages to understand that these threats and challenges are not just local issues but global and by instilling to them the relevance of becoming active promoters of more peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, secure, and sustainable societies.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is one of the active advocates and promoters of global citizenship. The department recognizes the role of GCED in promoting peace and sustainability across the globe as its principle is grounded and based on the universal values of human rights, democracy, non-
discrimination, and diversity.

The Department of Education through the International Cooperation Office in collaboration with the Curriculum Strand, and Philippine Teachers Association-Bahrain (PTAB) in support of teachers from Philippine Overseas Schools will be conducting a webinar that will focus on GCED entitled, “The Role of GCED in
Rebuilding Communities: Peaceful World and Empowered Learners”.

This webinar will be a virtual discussion of GCED advocates and professionals on the integration of global citizenship in education curriculum, development of innovative solutions, relevant instructional materials, and new ways of teaching to strengthen its integration, and its impact on students and learners.
